Ask a plain question — movements, influence, education, exhibitions, holdings, peers. Every answer carries its provenance.
Kanō Naonobu was a Japanese painter of the Kanō school during the early Edo period. Working alongside his brother Kanō Tan'yū, he completed commissions for the Tokugawa shogunate. His approach to ink wash painting emphasized bold use of negative space, distinguishing his work within the school's aesthetic vocabulary.
