Sir Cedric Lockwood Morris was a British painter and horticulturist whose practice bridged fine art and botanical observation. Working primarily in oils and watercolors across the twentieth century, he developed a distinctive approach to landscape and still life that reflected his deep knowledge of plants and garden design. Morris founded the East Anglian School of Painting and Drawing, where he taught alongside his artistic output. His dual expertise in cultivation and color theory shaped a body of work rooted in direct observation of natural forms.
