Ask a plain question — movements, influence, education, exhibitions, holdings, peers. Every answer carries its provenance.
Deborah Remington was an American hard-edge abstract painter whose work combined geometric precision with luminous color fields. Working primarily in acrylic and oil, her compositions feature sharply defined planes of saturated hue that create optical vibration without narrative or representational reference. Based in Haddonfield, New Jersey, Remington developed a distinctive approach to abstraction that emphasized the material properties of paint and the perceptual effects of color interaction. She was represented by Bortolami.
