Abraham Raimbach was an English engraver and printmaker specializing in reproductive line engraving during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. His technical precision in translating paintings into prints made him one of the most sought-after reproductive engravers of his era. Working primarily from contemporary British paintings, Raimbach produced plates of considerable scale and refinement that circulated widely among collectors and institutions. His career exemplified the commercial and artistic importance of printmaking as a means of disseminating cultural imagery before mechanical reproduction.
