Ask a plain question — movements, influence, education, exhibitions, holdings, peers. Every answer carries its provenance.
Feliza Bursztyn assembled large-scale abstract sculptures from scrap metal, industrial debris, and urban refuse, treating rust and oxidation as formal and conceptual material. Working in Bogotá during the 1960s and 1970s, she transformed discarded machinery into monumental forms that engaged directly with processes of decay and material transformation. Her practice anticipated postwar concerns about dematerialization and the poetic potential of industrial waste.
