The International Electrotechnical Commission is a Swiss standards organization founded in 1906 to develop and publish international electrotechnical standards. Rather than an artist in the traditional sense, the IEC functions as a collective body whose standardization protocols have shaped the physical and conceptual infrastructure of postwar industrial production and design.
