Marinus Boezem is a Dutch sculptor and conceptual artist whose practice prioritizes intervention in public space and a radically dematerialized approach to form. Emerging in the late 1960s alongside Wim T. Schippers, Ger van Elk, and Jan Dibbets, Boezem helped establish conceptual art and arte povera in the Netherlands by treating the landscape and urban environment as primary materials. His work consistently challenges the conventional boundaries between sculpture and site, favoring ephemeral, site-specific gestures over permanent monuments.
