Why this artist matters now

Founded in 1831 by Johann Meyra the firm was named Wilhelm Kralik Sohn in 1840 and continued production until 1911 at the Eleonorenhain and Ernstbrunn Glassworks in Bohemia. the firm produced much beautiful colored and iridescent glass similar to Loetz, but not normally with a ground pontil. The vases are often overlaid in silver and mounted in bronze.
