Mars Bound by Amoretti

Jan van Bijlert was a Dutch Golden Age painter specializing in biblical and mythological scenes rendered in warm, luminous oil on canvas. Active in Utrecht during the mid-17th century, he developed a distinctive approach to narrative composition marked by rich chiaroscuro and intimate figure studies.
