Dudley Long North (1749–1829)

Frans van der Mijn was a Dutch painter active in the 18th century, working primarily in portraiture and historical subjects. Born in Amsterdam in 1719, he became a sought-after portrait painter whose work reflected the refinement and technical precision characteristic of Dutch Golden Age painting traditions. Little detailed documentation of his specific artistic methods and stylistic evolution survives.
