Harry J. Powell
Harry J. Powell was a British glass designer and decorator active in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Working primarily in cut and engraved glass, he developed a refined approach to vessel form that rejected the ornamental excess of Victorian design in favor of clarity and restrained surface treatment. His work exemplified the Arts and Crafts commitment to handcraft and material integrity within the medium of glass.
