Cristóbal Rojas was a Venezuelan painter active in the late 19th century, known for narrative works depicting social themes and historical subjects. Working primarily in oil, he developed a realist approach to figuration that addressed the conditions of ordinary people and moments of national consequence. His career spanned the 1870s and 1880s before his death at thirty-three.
