Laura Muntz Lyall is a Canadian painter active in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, recognized for Impressionist-inflected portrayals of mothers and children rendered in soft, luminous tonalities. Her oil paintings employ loose, feathered brushwork and warm, diffused light to convey intimacy without sentimentality. She exhibited at the Paris Salon and was a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.
