Monument to Catherine II

Mark Antokolski was a Russian Empire sculptor known for large-scale historical and religious figural works in marble and bronze. Active during the nineteenth century, his practice centered on narrative sculptural compositions depicting biblical, classical, and Russian historical subjects.
