Karl Marx

Anna Golubkina is a Russian sculptor whose work in marble, bronze, and wood became central to the development of early twentieth-century Russian modernism. A student of Auguste Rodin in Paris, she brought an expressionistic physicality to figurative and portrait sculpture. Her former Moscow studio operates today as a museum under the Tretyakov Gallery.
