Helen McNicoll
Helen McNicoll is a Canadian Impressionist painter known for luminous plein air scenes of women and children in sunlit landscapes, rendered with confident brushwork and a distinctive sensitivity to natural light. Active in the early twentieth century, she exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and became one of Canada's most accomplished practitioners of Impressionism despite her lifelong deafness.
