Aleksandra Ekster was a Russian painter and designer active across painting, theater design, and graphic work from the early 20th century through mid-century. Working in oil and mixed media, she engaged with avant-garde movements including Cubo-Futurism and Constructivism, developing a distinctive approach to color and geometric form. Her practice bridged fine art and applied design, contributing to theatrical production and visual culture in both the Soviet Union and Western Europe.
