Neptune

István Kerny was a Hungarian sculptor and painter whose work bridged late nineteenth-century academic tradition and early modernist abstraction. Active across a career spanning nearly eight decades, he worked in stone, bronze, and paint, producing figurative compositions and reliefs that evolved toward simplified, geometric forms. Kerny remained a significant presence in Hungarian cultural institutions throughout the twentieth century.
