Erik Hjorth was a Danish sculptor and ceramicist active in the postwar period. Working primarily in stoneware and bronze, he developed a formal language rooted in abstraction and organic form. His ceramic vessels and sculptural works engaged with the intersection of functional craft and fine art that characterized mid-century Scandinavian design.
