Sky Frame

When Frankenthaler began work on Sky Frame, she was only interested in the rectangular “frame” and asked Zigmunds Priede to pull several trial proofs in blue. Not yet satisfied, she returned to the stone and added the central form, which was eventually monoprinted in variations of green and yellow.
