Takehisa Kosugi was a Japanese composer and performer whose work bridged experimental music, visual art, and performance. Active from the 1960s onward, he was a founding member of the Fluxus movement and created scores that incorporated indeterminacy, chance operations, and unconventional notation. His compositions often prioritized performer intuition and environmental sound over traditional melodic structure. Kosugi's practice extended to installation and video work, establishing him as a key figure in postwar avant-garde art across multiple disciplines.
