Oscar Bony
Photography
Oscar Bony was an Argentine conceptual and performance artist active from the 1960s onward whose work interrogated social structures and institutional power through direct intervention and documentation. Working primarily in photography, video, and live performance, Bony created situations that collapsed the boundary between art and everyday life, often staging encounters with strangers or re-enacting mundane social rituals as formally structured events. His practice emerged from the postwar Latin American avant-garde and remained engaged with questions of authorship, spectatorship, and the artist's role in society.
