Costantino Nivola was an Italian-American sculptor and muralist who worked primarily in cast concrete and carved stone, creating monumental public and architectural commissions from the 1950s onward. His forms combined abstraction with organic references, often integrated directly into building facades and public spaces. Nivola's practice bridged European modernist sculpture and American postwar architectural ambition, establishing him as a key figure in mid-century public art.
