Jamie Reid was a British graphic designer and artist whose radical collage and typography defined the visual language of British punk in the mid-1970s. Working primarily in screen-printed paper, photostat, and found imagery, Reid created album covers and promotional materials that merged political agitation with formal innovation. His work for the Sex Pistols established a template for punk aesthetics that prioritized disruption and DIY production over commercial polish. Reid continued to develop his practice across fine art, graphic design, and activist publication throughout his life.
