Pudlo Pudlat
Pudlo Pudlat was a Canadian Inuit artist from Igloolik, Nunavut, known for his drawings and prints depicting Arctic wildlife, hunting scenes, and daily life in the High Arctic. Working primarily in pencil, colored pencil, and printmaking from the 1960s onward, Pudlat developed a distinctive observational style that combined naturalistic detail with the formal language of contemporary printmaking. His work became central to the postwar emergence of Inuit art as a recognized cultural practice and market force in Canada.
