Sue Williamson
Sue Williamson is a South African artist working across photography, video, and installation since the 1970s. Her practice documents and interrogates the legacies of apartheid and colonial violence through archival research, oral testimony, and interventions into existing historical narratives. She has exhibited at the Documenta and the Venice Biennale. Her work refuses reconciliation narratives in favor of sustained examination of systemic injustice and its ongoing material consequences.
