Ingrid Calame is an American artist born in 1968 whose practice centers on large-scale abstract paintings and site-specific installations derived from architectural and landscape documentation. Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, she translates photographic records of water stains, weathered surfaces, and urban decay into expansive chromatic compositions that oscillate between representation and pure abstraction. Her investigations of material degradation and the traces of time function as both formal experiments in color and texture and meditations on entropy and impermanence.
