A Man of the Crowd

Matthew Buckingham is an American artist working in video, photography, and installation whose practice engages historical narratives and their spatial, temporal, and political dimensions. His projects often involve archival research, interviews, and site-specific interventions that interrogate how histories are constructed, preserved, and made visible. Working across media, he creates layered investigations into questions of memory, infrastructure, and representation in relation to landscape and architecture.
