Dee Dee Halleck is an American media artist and activist whose practice in video and film since the 1960s centers on documentary strategies and grassroots organizing. Her work privileges underrepresented voices and localized media production, developed outside mainstream broadcast and gallery systems. Halleck has been instrumental in creating alternative distribution and exhibition models that prioritize community access and participatory practice.
