Yong Soon Min was an American artist of Korean descent whose practice spanned photography, video, installation, and performance, often addressing trauma, displacement, and cross-cultural identity in the postwar diaspora. Working from the 1980s onward, her conceptually rigorous pieces interrogated the legacies of war, colonialism, and the Korean American experience through formal strategies that combined archival research with personal testimony. Her work navigated the psychological and political territories between nations and generations, treating the body and the archive as sites of contested meaning.
