The dawn

Victor Prouvé was a French painter, printmaker, and designer active across the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Working primarily in oil and watercolor, he developed a distinctive approach to landscape and portraiture rooted in Symbolist aesthetics and Art Nouveau decorative principles. His work bridged the formal traditions of academic painting with the stylistic innovations of the fin-de-siècle avant-garde.
