What this is

Watts Index is a verification database for the art market. We maintain source-attributed records on 124,000+ artists — every fact carries its originating sources, trust tier, and any conflicting claims, preserved rather than averaged. When public records disagree (a museum and an authority file carrying different death years, for example), we document the conflict, adjudicate it, and show the evidence.
